Low-Temperature Physics and Superconductivity

This experiment is an introduction to the methods of low-temperature physics. The experiments are carried out in a temperature range from room temperature to 1.5 K. Apart from the technical aspects of the experimental setup and the dealing with liquid helium to reach very low temperatures the students will be introduced to experiments to measure physical properties of solids at low temperatures. In detail, they will carry out transport measurements on different normal- and superconducting materials.
